In this guide, we will walk you through how Shopify orders are imported into Salesforce as Drafts. When an order is synced from Shopify, it is created in Draft status in Salesforce, allowing you to review it before finalizing. This helps avoid errors, gives better control over orders, allows easy changes before confirmation, and keeps your data accurate.
Follow the steps below to easily enable and use this feature:
Step 1: Log in to Salesforce & in App Launcher search "HIC Sync made easy". Click on it.

Step 2: Go to "SME Pro Features"

Step 3: Enable the “Preserve Shopify Orders as Drafts in Salesforce” feature toggle button

Step 4: Go to Shopify and create a draft order.

Step 5: Copy the Shopify ID and search it in Salesforce. You will see that the draft order is synced with Draft status in Salesforce.

Step 6: Go back to Shopify and mark the draft order as a paid order.

Step 7: Copy the Shopify ID again and search in Salesforce. Even after marking the order as Paid in Shopify, it still shows as Draft status in Salesforce.

This completes the functionality of the Preserve Shopify Orders as Drafts in Salesforce feature.
